Sixteen Seascapes

These small works on paper are painted in ink and egg tempera, with metallic leaf and collage material, and measure approximately 14 x 19 cm.  Inspired by a voyage on the Sound of Sleat, the narrow sea channel off the western coast of Scotland which divides the Sleat peninsula on the south-east side of the Isle of Skye from Morar, Knoydart and Glenelg on the mainland, they evoke the ever-changing weather conditions, dazzling light effects and vastness of space.
